Iris Goodson

Iris Goodson is in her 19th year with The Atlanta Speech School, serving six of those years as the Director of Human Resources. The Speech School is the nation’s most comprehensive center for language and literacy and is composed of four schools, four clinical programs, summer programs, and the Rollins Center for Language and Literacy. Iris oversees the Human Resources department which is responsible for staff recruitment/retention, employee/labor relations, administration of employee benefit programs, salary administration and communication of employment policies and procedures. She is also responsible for creating innovative ways to engage all employees and establishing the culture, systems and training that will develop leaders and empower employees. In addition to her role at The Atlanta Speech School, Iris also serves as Co-Leader for the Atlanta Group for HR Directors in Independent Schools, and is a member of the Board of Directors at the International Community School.
