Professional Bio
Kelly joined MISBO as the Communications and Membership Manager on April 1, 2022, taking on a newly established role within the organization. With a strong background in marketing and association member engagement, she delivers exceptional customer service to MISBO's members while actively managing marketing campaigns.
Previously, Kelly worked as a Digital Marketing Manager at Bay Leaf Digital, a global SaaS marketing agency. In this role, she developed content strategies for clients' paid publication placements worldwide, created social media plans, designed graphics and videos, and effectively collaborated with global teams.
Kelly also served as the Communications Director for ClearPath Association Management Solutions, primarily working with The National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB). Notably, she successfully launched the association's first digital magazine and skillfully planned and executed its first all-virtual Legislative and Annual Conference.
Kelly’s career trajectory also includes positions at The North Carolina Rural Water Association, where she was a Communications and Member Engagement Specialist, and at Forsyth Technical Community College, where she served as an assistant in the President's Office before being promoted to an assistant to the Dean of Learning Technologies. While at the college, she had the opportunity to serve on the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Committee, Virtual Tour Committee, and Open House Committees. Kelly also spent over ten years in television news, where she produced a highly-rated daily Morning News Show.
Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Towson University in Maryland, a mini-MBA in digital marketing from Rutgers University in New Jersey, and a certificate in computer-based instruction from East Carolina University in North Carolina. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter and spending time with her golden doodle, Henry.
