ATLIS Presents: 2024 AI Summer Workshop
A four part virtual workshop series
ATLIS is partnering with MISBO on four 90-minute sessions, each on a Tuesday, packed with practical, engaging content. Registrants will have access to the session recordings and resources after the workshop (regardless of attendance). It's a mix of learning, sharing experiences, and working together, designed to help these equipping committee members with the knowledge and tools to lead AI initiatives that align with their schools' missions and educational goals.
Each school can register up to five people with one registration (the same five people for each session).
Target Audience
Anyone who serves on your school’s AI committee or makes decisions about AI implementation. Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Technology directors
- Technology team members
- Administrative leadership
- Division and department heads
- Faculty serving on the AI committee
Meet the Facilitators:
Stacie Muñoz is a seasoned educational technology leader with over a decade of experience, currently serving as the Director of Educational Innovation and Technology Services at Oakwood School. She began her career as a Digital Learning Specialist at Garrison Forest School, an all-girls school in Baltimore County, MD, before becoming the Director of Educational Technology at Urban School in San Francisco.
Jared Colley is the Upper Campus Head of Learning & Innovation at The Mount Vernon School in Atlanta, GA, where he also works as the resident Competency Based Education specialist, coaching and supporting teachers on CBE assessment and instructional practices.
Dr. Michael Lomuscio is the Dean of Studies at the prestigious 'Iolani School in Honolulu, Hawaii. With a strong background in applied mathematics, he has been at the forefront of designing and delivering cutting-edge curricula in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence for nearly a decade.
Josh Clark is the current head of Landmark School and Landmark Outreach, located in Beverly, Mass. Josh is a humanitarian. He champions the cause of neuro-diversity in education and promotes the science of reading as a vehicle for education reform and social good. He is chair of the International Dyslexia Association, trustee of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and an expert contributor to the global nonprofit Made By Dyslexia and Microsoft Education.
Dr. Dan Morrison (he/him) is a veteran educator and advocate for human-centered STEM education. Over the course of the last 20 years, he has taught high school Biology and Chemistry, developed inclusive STEM curricula for students with learning disabilities, and built learning support systems to enhance the educational experience for students attending elite independent schools.
Connie White is a visionary leader who has served as the Director of Learning & Innovation at Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia since 2015. She is a former Upper School Physics, Chemistry, & Math teacher who became one of the first Technology & Learning Directors of a 1:1 program in the southeast. Connie specializes in start-up innovation initiatives, STEAM, strategic planning, curriculum design, assessment, professional development, brain-based strategies, and pedagogy.
Vinnie Vrotny has focused his 36-year career on developing ways to best leverage technology in meaningful and authentic ways for learners. He is currently in his ninth year as the Director of Technology at The Kinkaid School, a pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade school in Houston, TX, where he is responsible for all aspects of technology across every division, department, and constituency group across his campus.

Format
Each Zoom session will include a mix of presentations or panels, group discussions, and hands-on activities that can be done virtually. By the end of the workshop series, AI committees will have a roadmap for the upcoming year.
All registrants will receive a link to the recorded sessions, regardless of attendance.
Certificate of Participation
All program participants that attend all four sessions will receive a certificate of participation upon request.
