Who should participate?
This project is for schools of all sizes that are ready for change and change management. We think the best people to attend the kickoff in Atlanta are senior leaders on the academic and operations side of the house: head of school, academic leader, and CFO or COO. We suggest a two to three person team per school. Our experience with other projects tells us that committed leaders will get the most out of this.
Timeline
The timeline is designed to be compact and although the impact will last years, the project starts and concludes within a single semester. We will converge –diverge –converge as we accomplish learning the process and apply it to our schools.

Ross Peters is Managing Partner for EXPLO Elevate, an innovative schools cooperative. His work focuses on independent schools and their national and regional associations in the areas of strategic planning, change management, board practice, and curriculum development. Prior to his role at EXPLO Elevate, Ross held several roles in independent schools, deriving his understanding of how a school should work and what leadership should look like from the classroom out. Ross grew up in Richmond, VA where he graduated from St. Christopher’s School. From there he went to Sewanee: The University of the South where he earned his B.A. in English, followed, after six years teaching at Providence Day School, with an M.Ed from the University of Georgia. Since his time at PDS, he has made an impact as a teacher and administrator in a range of schools, including Asheville School, Hawken School, The Westminster Schools, and St. George’s Independent School. Ross currently serves on the National Association of Independent Schools Board of Trustees. A widely published poet, his interests include hiking, travel, photography, and mediocre guitar picking.
